I am combination – dehydrated with a bit of an oily t-zone – and it works well for me. You may need a good setting powder if you are more on the oily side. The skincare ingredients within the formula also claim to work on reducing pigmentation over time. Fans of Light Wonder will most likely enjoy the new Beautiful Skin foundation. It is more of a full bodied formula, slightly thicker in texture and fuller in coverage, but it gives a dewiness that LW also delivers.

I have combination skin and I love it but if you are oily it might be too much. It does have more coverage than say, a tinted moisturiser. I am usually 3, and matched myself to 3 Cool, but Charlotte took a look and thought I’d do better with 4 Neutral. I now have them both and will have a play and decide.
It delivers a natural looking flawlessness with minimal effort and you hardly need any product to cover the whole face. I think it gets more velvet-matte (very natural), the more you use, and I also think it’s looks better on the skin the longer you wear it. The coverage I would describe as sheer, buildable to a medium. Out of the tube, #4 looks neutral enough to match my olive skin but it oxidises to a slightly warmer hue – nothing major but something to consider. The best way to apply this foundation is with a dense but fluffy brush.
HOW TO KNOW WHAT SKIN TONE YOU ARE
There is Rose Complex for dullness, dryness, pigmentation and dark circles, and Hyalurosmooth for uneven texture, dryness and dullness. I love pink and my style tends to be pretty natural. At the five hour mark, I’m craving a blot and I’m normal to dry.
My only critique is the coverage, ultimately it’s a sheer coverage base and I prefer medium buildable, to minimise the amount of product I have to load on ma face. This product does mix very well with the Cover FX Custom Cover Drops, occasionally I’ll add a drop to offer greater coverage and lift the shade a touch. The finish of this foundation is matte but it can work for dry skin types as long as your base is prepped really well. Hydration is key so an essence, serum, rich moisturiser and hydrating primer are essential steps before applying this foundation. I found Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin foundation to be really brilliant on redness. It covers it quickly in a very natural way, without masking. It honestly looks incredible on, it doesn’t have much coverage but you can see how radiant makes my skin look. Now, it boggles my mind that cosmetic creators keep adding token amounts of SPF to foundations – in this case SPF15. That’s not enough to provide sufficient sun protection (don’t be fooled, apply a decent sunscreen underneath) AND THEN it poses a photography risk. If I were to skip the powder, the sheen would draw attention to microscopic lumps and bumps (am I looking too closely? Maybe) but a dusting of powder and the finish is very flattering on texture.
